Places to post your fresh content!
Well, the secret is that there are websites on the net for the simple purpose of showing fresh new links to people every day. I'll list here a few of them. No direct links for obvious reasons.
1. Digg.com - well you all know this one, just thought of mentioning it.
2. Leenks.com - use the submit thing on the left of the page. You can submit all kind of stuff that can be considered interesting. Also accepts adult sites. Your submission is not guaranteed to be listed. In fact, it's highly unlikely (my success rate was of 1 in 10). However - it is guaranteed if you pay about $30/link. Number of visitors you can expect: 3k-15k, depending on the subject.
3. Madville.com - need to create account and submit a link. I had a 5 in 10 acceptance rate. They also have some paid service. Number of visitors you can expect: a few hundreds, but links are also published on other websites so in total you may get well over 1k.
4. Fark.com - it's pretty hard to make it on the front page without paying, however all links submitted are available to fark paying members and if you got a good one you can expect many hundreds of visitors. If you make it on the front page, you could expect over 1k.
5. CollegeHumor.com - same as with Fark, however if you make it on the front page you can expect 15k-35k uniques or even more. I haven't got any link approved recently though. They must be getting very tough on link submission because they also offer a paid service for it. But that is extremely expensive.
6. Big forums, such as:
- ebaumsworld (expect about 1k uniques, redundant traffic for quite a while)
- forums.offtopic.com (expect few hundreds everytime the thread rises above the rest, that will happen only briefly as it has millions of users)
7. Try your luck with big blogs, such as attu.blogspot.com. Send an email with your link. Who knows? They also get paid submissions, for a reasonable price. Expect 10k-15k uniques from Attu's blog.
8. Other websites: di-links.com, in4mador.com
I have never paid for my submissions, but will take in consideration for the future. Especially the leenks website and attu's blog which come with reasonable prices and good traffic.
Remember, use these if you have interesting stuff only and do everything in moderation!
